Those who are using Samsung Galaxy Tab (10.1 or 8.9) tablets might notice one thing that Galaxy Tab’s touch responsiveness is very bad compare to Asus EEE Pad Transformer or iPad. It is almost impossible to write the hand written notes on Galaxy Tab using stylus. I also have Galaxy Tab 10.1 and I was also disappointed with the touch screen of Galaxy Tab. I wanted to write notes with stylus on Galaxy Tab but the touch screen quality was very bad for me to do so.
However, the owners of the Samsung Galaxy Tab tablets can now do hand writing on their tablets using stylus (I highly recommend Dagi capacitive stylus). That is a very good news for Galaxy Tab owners. There is a very impressive application called “Touchscreen Tunes” that works with Galaxy Tab tablets to control the touch screen responsiveness of the tablet. I tested that application and it was very impressive by improving the touch responsiveness of my Galaxy Tab. After using that application, I could really write hand writing notes on my Galaxy Tab with Dagi stylus. For my personal feeling, the touch responsiveness and stability after using Touchscreen Tune was even better than Asus EEE Pad Transformer Prime. Those who have TF Prime might know that the touch responsiveness of TF Prime (TF201) is not as good as original Transformer TF101.
Previously, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab tablet are not usable to write with stylus. Many customers are disappointed with inability to write hand writing notes and Touchscreen Tune can help owners of Galaxy Tab to fulfill their needs. However, one thing is required to use Touchscreen Tune on your Galaxy Tab. The tablet must be rooted before using Touchscreen Tune on it. Rooting the Galaxy Tab tablet should be not very difficult now a day. I am sure that it is totally worthy to root our Galaxy Tab tablets to use with Touchscreen Tune so that we can write hand writing notes on it. For me, one of the primary goals of buying tablet is to record hand writing notes on it and to use as a paper notebook.
For my experience, the improvement in touchscreen responsiveness on my Galaxy Tab is greatly noticeable after I have rooted my tablet and installed Touchscreen Tune. Galaxy Tab will be 100% usable for handwriting notes after that. Those who want to use Galaxy Tab tablets for taking hand writing notes should try to install and use Touchscreen Tunes from Android market. Free version of that application needs to be re-apply settings after wake up from sleep mode. Those who want the persistence settings can buy that application from market.
